TEACHERS
Dipti Abhyankar

Founder and Director of Dipti’s Dance Academy. She has been taking training in
dance since the age of 4 years. She is blessed to have learnt Bharatnatyam under the guidance of
Margreat Malini Sam, folk dances from Prashant Bhafalekar and contemporary and Bollywood from
Gururaj Korgankar.
Dipti completed her Master’s Diploma in Bharatnatyam (Visharad) in the year 2002. After her first
professional performance in her Arangetram she was awarded the title of ‘Nritya Shivali’ by Shivali
Society of India for her exemplary performance in Bharatnatyam.
Dipti has won various dance competitions and appeared on television dance shows. She has
represented her state at National level folk dance competition.
Dipti is passionate about dance and has been teaching for more than 20 years. She believes that
anyone and everyone can dance and has had the privilege to work with blind and specially abled
students. Her students look up to her for her grace, expressions and practice to perfection
attitude.
Mrs. Margreat Malini Sam
Founder & Director of Traditional Folk Dance of India. She is well known
at the center for performing arts and has acquired a reputation as a professional Bharatnatyam
dancer. Mrs. Malini Sam is a Master Artist from North Dakota Council for Art. She was awarded for a
traditional dance apprenticeship from 2010 to 2018. She completed her first residency program at
"Art center in Jamestown and Fort Ransom."

Mr. Prashant Bhafalekar

With a rich experience of 26 years in teaching and studying various folk
dances, Mr. Prashant is a well-known folk dance choreographer in India. He has trained students for
national and international level of competitions and won multiple accolades. He has choreographed
for various web series and works as a visiting faculty at Nalanda Nrityakala Mahavidyalaya.
Mr. Gururaj Korgaonkar:
Founder of Guru’s Dance Academy, Mr. Gururaj has been teaching
students for over two decades. He specialises in Contemporary, Kathak and Bollywood styles.
